Jeanne Socrates (born 17 August 1942) is a British yachtswoman from Lymington. She holds the record as the oldest female to have circumnavigated the world single-handed, and she is the only woman to have circumnavigated solo nonstop from North America.

She completed her 320-day voyage in Victoria, Canada, becoming the oldest person to sail around the world alone, non-stop, and unassisted at the age of 77. However, this record was later surpassed by Australian solo sailor Bill Hatfield.

Despite facing numerous challenges, including damage to her boat and personal injuries, Socrates has shown remarkable resilience and determination.
Her achievements have earned her several awards and recognitions, including the Cruising Club of America’s Blue Water Medal and the Royal Cruising Club Medal for Seamanship in 2013.
