How did we measure succes?
We measured success by subscriber growth. The number of subscribers a channel has is often seen as a measure of success. It represents the size of the channel’s dedicated audience and can lead to increased visibility and engagement.
Many other factors can be seen as success:
- Views: The number of views a channel’s videos receive is another important metric. Higher views indicate that more people are watching and engaging with the content.
- Watch Time: YouTube significantly emphasises watch time, the total time viewers spend watching a channel’s videos. A high watch time demonstrates that the content is engaging and keeps viewers on the platform.
- Engagement: Comments, likes, and shares are indicators of viewer engagement. Channels with high levels of engagement show that the content resonates with the audience and encourages interaction.
- Community Building: Building a strong community around the channel is an important aspect of success for many creators. This involves fostering a loyal fan base, interacting with viewers, and creating a sense of belonging and connection.
- Influence and Impact: Some creators value their influence on their audience and the impact they can make through their content. This may involve inspiring and educating viewers, promoting positive change, or advocating for specific causes.
